Annual Salary: $72,000 - $74,000

Position Summary:

The Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills to fill the role of Strategic Planning & Data Analyst.

The Strategic Planning & Data Analyst will report to OSPB’s Assistant Director- Strategic Planning, supporting the team in the execution of the strategic planning process for the state.

This will include assisting agencies with both the strategic plan development and the management of related performance data within the state performance management database.

Major Duties & Responsibilites:

• Serve as an agency resource supporting them through the strategic planning development process and managing communications around deliverables

• Serve as administrator of the State’s Quickbase performance management tool (Agency Scorecard), providing technical assistance to users and responding to tickets

• In collaboration with the Assistant Director, identify opportunities for improvement in our strategic planning and performance management processes

• Oversee the integration and alignment of strategic plans and other priority metrics into the Agency Scorecard, including the development of training tools to assist in this process

• Manage the strategic planning team’s internal website, ensuring content and resources are current and accessible to agency users

• Assist with the creation of training materials and resources

Job Requirments:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred.) and 3 years of combined relevant experience in the areas of strategic planning, performance management and data analytics

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills creating friendly and collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a high-stakes and fast-paced environment

• Excellent discretion and judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Strong commitment to the mission and priorities of the Administration

Job Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in the use of data management tools in Excel. Basic awareness of the uses of AI and Python in data analysis is a plus

• Familiarity with the concepts of “collective-impact”, “Theory of Change” and SMART goals preferred

• Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities or direction that may impact current processes
