POSTING DETAILS:
 
- The Procurement intern will join our team for 20 weeks, working 15-20 hours each week.
- Start date - As soon as you’re ready we can accommodate your class schedule so that you may work during business hours.
-You will need to upload a copy of your resume, transcripts and cover letter explaining how your skills are a good fit for this position, must have a current GPA standing of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Compensation based on education and experience.

 

JOB SUMMARY:
-We are seeking a talented and engaged intern who is working toward a degree and wants to develop beyond the classroom!
-You would be a great fit if you have excelled in courses such as Supply Chain Management or Business.
-In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Procurement teams by developing a database of Certificates of Insurance, track expiring Contracts, working with ADHS program staff on next steps and assisting in the completion of extension Amendments.
-You will also have the opportunity to learn about all the ADHS Bureau programs and the Finance team.
-You will be coached and mentored by the Procurement Manager, and/or others on the team by collaborating with them on group projects.
 

 

YOU WILL BRING THE FOLLOWING TO THE INTERNSHIP: 
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
    ● Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Docs and Sheets.
    Knowledge of online procurement systems is a plus.
    ● Time management, organization, planning and problem solving skills.
    ● Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
YOU WILL GAIN THE FOLLOWING FROM THIS INTERNSHIP:
  • Research and compile data from the Arizona Procurement Portal.
    ● Learn about the components of a legal and binding contract.
    ● Learn about public health and the importance of operational support.
    ● Collaboration with a diverse team of professionals.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.
