This Substance Abuse Clinical Supervisor (SACS - Program Manager) will ensure appropriate programming, reentry services, and treatment is provided in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. This position directly manages and supervises all substance abuse counselors who provide services to the offender population within both Community Corrections facilities/reentry centers (Pima Reentry Center / Maricopa Reentry Center). It ensures services are provided as stipulated by law. As the supervisor over the Correctional Substance Abuse Counselor Seniors, the SACS will discuss and make decisions on offender substance abuse treatment, and program objectives with their supervisor, the Community Corrections Manager.
-Assess counseling services/subordinate work products. Plans and coordinates meetings and training sessions.
-Administers evaluations, approves leave, manages schedules, and tracks absences including FMLA/extended leave.
- Ensures counseling services are provided in accordance with applicable law, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
-Provides clinical supervision and signs off on clinical documentation for non-independently licensed counselors.
-Works closely with reentry center management staff to facilitate communication between substance abuse counselors and security to ensure maximum utilization of program slots and minimize disruption to unit operations.
-Carry a partial clinical caseload. Conducts one-on-one clinical assessments and individual or group counseling sessions. Facilitates substance abuse education classes and therapy groups with offender participants.
-Maintains clinical records and writes individual substance abuse treatment plans and relapse prevention plans including Arizona Correctional Information System (ACIS) entries. Maintains program participation databases and monitors counselor’s ACIS entries. Assists in troubleshooting obstacles to program participation and operation.
-Updates and maintains databases, such as ACIS, regarding offender participation programs. Prepares reports, both quantitative and qualitative, regarding programs and program participation rates. Conducts quality control and improvement audits of programs and services offered at Community Corrections.

-Work independently with minimal supervision
-Maintain accurate documentation and records
-Prefer a Master's Degree from an accredited school and three to five years progressively responsible managerial/ supervisory experience.
-Previous correctional experience/knowledge of ADCRR policies and procedures and ACIS are also preferred.
-Must be licensed in the State of Arizona as a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or as a Psychologist. Must be certified as a Certified Clinical Supervisor
(CCS).
-Valid Arizona Drivers License
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
