Job Summary:

The Immunization Services Program Manger will oversee and provide supervisory and management guidance to the immunization services components of the immunization office; this includes the Nurse Educator, Contract nurse educator and AIPO . This position will oversee day to day operations and reporting activities, this will allow the program to more efficiently respond to the myriad demands of the routine vaccinator sites and their teams during the COVID response and immunization program activities in general (there has been a decrease in routine vaccination due to COVID). This position will act as the Office Chief as needed, with all the duties and responsibilities thereof

Job Duties:

- Oversee and manage that timelines are met and coordinates communication for the immunization services program and directs the complex network of tasks and duties of the nurse educators and PPS1 staff therein are completed; CDC reporting for COVID and other federal immunization programs.
- Facilitate consistent communication to avoid the duplication of efforts and ensure all tasks are completed fully and on time. The position will oversee day to day operations and reporting activities.
- Manage and direct subordinate staff (work assignments, setting priorities, hiring, discipline, provide training, approving leave requests, and preparing evaluations) to ensure complete program compliance.
- Complete CDC reports as needed for data reporting and grant compliance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
-Principles of vaccine-preventable diseases.
-Principles of public health.
-Principles and methods of program
planning, design and evaluation.
-Immunization program requirements
-ASIIS reporting requirements
-Vaccination and reporting policies
-Performance Management (PM), and
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and
Lean methodologies.

Skill in:
-Applying management and administration
Applying and interpreting Federal/State laws,
rules regulations, policies and procedures.
-Supervising/Management of staff
-Training staff and partners
-Grant writing and compliance
-Report generating

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelors degree in public health, business, management or a related field with 4 years of experience in management of a public
health program. Master's degree will substitute for 2 years of experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11).
