Job Summary:

This position will do the following:
• Support the AZELLA Assessment program by tracking new district test coordinators, completion of training modules, supports the program area regarding user accounts, minor testing tasks with our vendors and assists constituents with basic questions on ADE program specific applications, emails received in the inbox and location of resources
• Answer the Assessment main line, responding to basic inquiries, and triaging questions and calls
• Support the Assessment section with annual conferences including registration of participates before and onsite
• Perform functions of procurement including procuring goods for all the programs in this section including verifying, reconciling, and submitting travel claims for both internal and external participants, creating requisitions and providing basic to intermediate level technical assistance to Assessment section staff.
• In-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.

Job Duties:

• Supports the AZELLA program with tasks specific to district test coordinators, forms, training, and emails
• Supports the AZELLA program with tasks specific for district test coordinators in the vendor platforms
• Answer the Assessment unit main line and triages questions and calls
• Supports the Assessment Section with its annual conference including participant registration
• Perform all functions of procuring goods and services needed by the Assessment Section in accordance with the State of Arizona Procurement Policies and Procedures
• Review, verify, reconcile, and submits travel claims by staff and participants on Arizona educator committees, ensuring compliance with the State of Arizona Travel Policies and Procedures
• Participate in training relative to the State of Arizona Procurement and Travel Policies and Procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

• Statewide standardized tests
• Test administration procedures
• Federal and state statutes as pertaining specifically to travel and procurement regulations
• State Board of education and departmental standards, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations relating to all aspects of this position and the section in general

• Procurement, including submitting requisitions, generating purchase orders, creating change orders, and receipting invoices
• Project planning, organization, and management

• Decision-making to accurately and appropriately forward phone calls and respond to questions
• Reading and interpreting a wide variety of information/data necessary for District Test Coordinators to successfully complete training and forms utilized

• Intermediate skill in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
• Utilize time management skills and multi-task
• Communicate effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of constituents in a variety of situations

• Apply applicable regulations to program situations in a tactful and discrete manner

Selective Preference(s):

Preference will be given to those applicants with:
• Experience with English Language Proficiency Assessment
• Professional experience appropriate to the area of assignment, or coursework from an accredited college or university with an appropriate major

• Position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.
