Under the general supervision of the Policy and Community Partner Liaison Manager, the incumbent of this position is responsible for managing the process for tracking vital records printed on security paper for the Bureau of Vital Records, e.g., running reports, utilizing Excel to create reports, quality review and dissemination of printed security paper for the office. This position is responsible for following up with data providers to request verification, validation, or correction to data listed on the Center for Disease Control (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) reports in a timely manner and takes a lead role in ensuring data quality compliance is maintained under the contract with NCHS. Assists in processing the office mail and daily deposit of funds. Responsible for providing accurate program information through the interpretation and application of statutes, rules, policies, and procedures related to the vital records program. Under the direction of the policy manager, this position will assist with quality assurance reviews and audits of employee work and performance. This position creates and revises team desk procedures. In addition, assists with the birth-death matching process to prevent fraudulent use of vital records. This position may assist with application processing, scanning sealed or non-sealed records, special projects, system user acceptance testing, and performing other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent and two years experience in a related field. Preference is given to candidates with vital records knowledge and application.
May require possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S.41-1758.07 or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within seven working days after beginning employment. You will be required to pay an $8.25 fee for fingerprint screening. If hired, you will be able to request reimbursement of the $8.25.
