Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Performance Improvement Manager will work as a member of the Quality Management Team, assisting with leading and supporting organizational performance improvement initiatives. This position will assist the Performance Improvement Manager and Performance Improvement Specialist with PI efforts throughout the Hospital and ACPTC as needed to drive KPIs and strategic goals.

Job Duties:

- Partner with Hospital and ACPTC leaders and individual contributors to prioritize, define, scope and carry out performance improvement activities. Use and teach Lean/AMS approaches such as A3, value stream mapping, structured problem solving, visual performance management (etc.) to clearly define goals and measures of success. Support leaders with conflict resolution & change management as new processes are implemented.
- Support Performance Improvement Manager in facilitation of organization-wide projects and on-going committees as needed to meet strategic goals. Help stakeholders translate complex data into easily understood summaries and recommendations (e.g., visuals, charts, matrices, bullet points)
- Support and coach leaders in reporting out Performance Improvement Activity results at QAPI. Facilitate 30/60/90 day check in sessions to confirm process is working as intended.
- Other duties as assigned as related to the position (typically 5% - 10%)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- Lean & Six Sigma tools and approaches.
- Performance improvement philosophy.
- Adult learning concepts.
- Performance Management (PM), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and
Lean methodologies.

Skill in:
- Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office.
- Communicating across disciplines.
- Conflict resolution.
- Data analysis.
- Facilitation of small and large groups.
- Project Management.

Ability to:
- Influence without authority.
- Build rapport and credibility with leaders and individual contributors at all levels.
- Support a diverse multi-cultural workforce that reflects the community, promotes equal

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor's degree in public health, behavioral health, public administration or similar related degree; 2 years experience in behavioral health, hospital administration, or related field. Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience. Preference given to
candidates with clinical and/or public/behavioral health experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Valid AZ State Driver's License required.

A State Hospital employee must:
- Be able to obtain a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-1758.07.

Retirement:

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit.
