Responsible for managing, organizing, redacting, and fulfilling complex public records requests from internal and external sources for both the Department of Forestry and Fire Management and Office of the State Fire Marshal. Oversees documentation and tracking of all relevant dates, correspondence with requesters, and preparation of records requests cost estimates. Collaborates with agency personnel to identify and review responsive records, ensuring proper redaction of confidential, exempt, and sensitive information. Utilizes agency software to process requests and ensures compliance with public records laws by reviewing and updating agency policies and maintaining current knowledge of legal exemptions per Arizona law. As a member of the Public Affairs team, this position will also provide administrative support to the Public Affairs Officer (PAO). This position requires strong communication skills, collaboration across all divisions, along with multi-tasking, and demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
