This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the agency’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Summary:

This position performs activities related to QA including various testing efforts (functional, UAT, regression, etc.) and the various tasks (requirements review, analysis, execution, etc.) to support those activities. Responsible for creating and maintaining documents necessary for any projects or duties assigned. Makes recommendations for improvement of processes including implementation or maintenance of test automation efforts. Stay current on QA practices and tools in order to provide feedback on how changes would benefit the team.

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform life-cycle testing of varying types (UAT, regression, end-to-end, etc.) and the tasks necessary to perform those tests. This may include requirements reviews, analysis, planning execution, reporting, etc.
• Support existing automation initiatives and recommend/propose opportunities to improve on automation efforts. Research and analysis of system problems/issues and recommend/propose solutions.
• Prepare documentation to support assigned projects. The documents include test plans, test cases and results or other documents necessary to perform projects/tasks assigned.
• Become highly knowledgeable on primary area(s) of support including familiarity with business knowledge. Assist staff with technical questions and provide guidance to secondary support members.
• Attend various meetings, staff meetings, management meetings, etc.
• Become familiar with other areas of support in order to act as a secondary resource for those areas.

• Quickly learn new security software tools with no formal training

Qualifications:

Minimum:
• 2 years SQL experience to query databases for troubleshooting; auditing; updates to subsystems. 2 years of any combination of training and experience that meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs); typical ways KSAs are obtained may include but not limited to: relevant degree from an accredited college or university, related quality assurance certification(s), coursework, and work experience relevant to the assignment.

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 – 5 years experience in quality assurance testing and analysis (or equivalent experience). Two years experience in full life-cycle software development, which includes requirement definition, analysis, design, coding, system testing, documentation & implementation. Certification may substitute for years of experience. Certifications or equivalents that would be considered: ISTQB, CAST, CSQA, or CSTE.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
