Job Summary:

This position completes research in various databases and automated systems regarding child maltreatment records and provides redacted records to statutorily entitled requestors.

Job Duties:

- Performs redactions of all records in accordance with state statutes, as well as policies and procedures from the Department and the Attorney General’s office
- Receives, logs, reviews, and processes requests for confidential information from authorized individuals and the general public
- Prints and redacts reports and case records requests; composes correspondence to the requestor
- Utilizes various databases to research records
- Maintains tracking system
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- Arizona Revised Statutes pertaining to confidentiality
- Automated databases and systems
- Personal computers and software, including Microsoft Excel and Word

Skill in:
- Verbal and written communication
- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
- Analyzing, problem solving, and researching various sources to troubleshoot
- Conflict management
- Organizational and time management

Ability to:
- Learn and utilize Children's Information Library and Data Source (CHILDS), and CPS Central Registry (CPSCR) databases
- Learn and adhere to agency policies and procedures
- Learn division redaction procedures and systems
- Monitor disclosure tracking reports

- Previous court or legal experience
