POSTING DETAILS:
 
- The School Data intern will join our team for 9-13 weeks, working 5-10 hours each week.
- Start date - January, as soon as you're ready we can accommodate your class schedule so that you may work during business hours.
-You will need to upload a copy of your resume, transcripts and cover letter explaining how your skills are a good fit for this position, must have a current GPA standing of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Compensation based on education and experience.

 

JOB SUMMARY:
-We are seeking a talented and engaged intern who is working toward a degree and wants to develop beyond the classroom!
-You would be a great fit if you excel in verbal and written communications, have had experience working with K-12 schools, or are interested in Public Health.
-In this role, you will be working to collect data about physical activity, school health services, and physical education as it occurs in Arizona schools. Information and data gathered will be used to assist the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and ADHS establish a baseline for indicators on accessibility and participation in PA indicators in schools. This position will be the lead intern, coordinating a group of 4 student interns who would be assigned a group of schools to contact and validate reports for Physical Education reports that were made to the AZ Department of Education, as well as a series of other questions through Google forms. You will be responsible for communicating to schools and to ADHS to obtain your data and for following up with the contact one week after collection with the appropriate information as needed. 
-You will also have the opportunity to develop a data table that will be used for communicating physical activity data findings to the public.
 

 

YOU WILL BRING THE FOLLOWING TO THE INTERNSHIP: 
● Strong written, and verbal communication skills.
● Time management, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
● Knowledge of Google Workspace, including Google sites, Forms, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive.
● Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential technical challenges.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.
