What You'll Do:
As the Senior/Lead Developer - Integration Engine Specialist, you will develop, implement, and manage Rhapsody Electronic Data (EDI) Interchange integration and mapping projects for electronic laboratory results and case reports. This includes providing production support for EDI transactions and analyzing and designing specifications for enhancements and extensions in EDI applications, interfaces, and mappings.
You will play a senior role in complete systems life cycle management (e.g., analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery is on time and within budget.
You'll serve as the main point of contact to key stakeholders, keeping them apprised of progress, issues, changes, status, timelines, and other issues. This position will also work across the organization to gather requirements, research issues, and create solutions for trading partners and key departmental contacts.
The EDI specialist's day-to-day responsibilities include establishing contact with trading partners, analyzing the data exchanged with any partners, observing data records to record any errors, and correcting any failures. EDI specialists work with employees at all levels of their organization to support accurate, proper data exchanges.
Senior/Lead Developer - Integration Engine Specialist directs component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for applications development initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance. This position develops and, at times, leads application development project activities and integrations.
-Supports production systems which include monitoring the data exchange for errors in order to analyze, debug, and resolve defects in applications in a timely manner. This includes resolving end-user service requests as assigned by contacting the associate trading partner for analysis and resolution.
-Develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all EDI-related developments for electronic laboratory results and case reports objectives to meet functional and technical designs.
-Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and contributes to the completion of functional specifications with precise attention to detail. This includes creating and updating technical specifications and other documentation tasks.

-Coordinates all EDI testing and on-boarding. Additionally, the EDI specialist serves as the primary link between the client and any data-trading partners. They assist with any testing to observe and interpret messages received and offer updates to their supervisor.
-Guides teams to ensure effective communication and the achievement of objectives. This position researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies. They provide knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance.
-Effectively translating user requirements into business, functional, and test scenarios for projects of various sizes and complexity.
-Developing and writing technical documentation.
-Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, consolidating details, and extracting to functional requirements.
-Directing multiple/concurrent implementations of IT solutions.

Bachelor’s degree plus 8 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience). Five years of experience in EDI mapping and integration. Three years of experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine v.6. A Rhapsody certification is a plus.
Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S.41-1758.07 or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within seven working days after beginning employment. You will be required to pay an $8.25 fee for fingerprint screening. If hired, you will be able to request reimbursement of the $8.25.

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit.
