This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangement).

Job Summary:

The Senior Oracle Developer will participate in Oracle development projects, including conformance to best practices in the Software development life cycle (SDLC). You will coordinate with Project Managers, business subject matter experts and quality assurance staff to support IT projects, including the myDEQ Program and the internal AZURITE application portal.

Job Duties:

Key Responsibilities:
• Designs and codes Oracle Forms, Reports, and PLSQL code based on business requirements and prepares all corresponding documentation.
• Participates in Oracle based development projects, including the conformance to the best practices in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Coordinates with Project Managers, business Subject Matter experts, and Quality Assurance staff.
• Supports production systems, analyzes and resolves production problems in a timely manner, resolves end user service requests as assigned.
• Fixes and develops changes to applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

• Thorough working knowledge of multiple programming languages, database management systems, development platforms, and systems integration.
• Strong customer service, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks, work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
• Ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
• Ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
• Ability to develop and write technical documentation, to quickly learn and develop new programming languages, APIs, and platforms, to evaluate and test emerging technologies, and create solutions to business problems to ensure business needs are most effectively met

Selective Preference(s):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years’ experience
