The Intelligence Unit Special Agent works under the direction of the Intelligence Unit Supervisor and Manager. Special Agents in the Intelligence Unit are responsible for investigating complaints of illegal gambling to ensure compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, State, and Federal laws. Off Reservation complaints of Arizona Revised Statutes Title 13, may include gambling violations, racketeering, money laundering, and illegal criminal enterprises

Candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal history investigation. Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12). Must pass a polygraph examination.
