Job Summary:

The Governor's Office of Highway Safety is Hiring a dedicated Special Projects Coordinator. The Ideal candidate for this position will have experience handling multiple projects. They will also provide support through the appropriate use of administrative, computer, finance, project management and data management.

Job Duties:
  • Duties as assigned by the agency Director and supervisor/multiple special projects assigned
  • Help with statewide events conferences, public safety day and news conferences
  • Assists Deputy Director with DUI Abatement Council
  • Other duties as assigned by agency Director
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

  • Federal or local grant procedures and grant administration
  • State and local administrative polices and procedures
  • Traffic safety issues
  • State and local traffic statues and code
  • Computer systems

Skills in:

  • Interpersonal communication
  • Organization
  • Oral and written communications
  • Time management
  • Computers, troubleshooting, Google suite and Microsoft Office

Ability to:

  • Work in a dynamic work environment
  • Manage multiple projects and one time
  • Adapt to different goals and priorities for agency Director
  • Critical thinking and strong writing ability
Selective Preference(s):
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred from accredited College or University
  • Knowledge of Federal Grant processes, including processing, administering and monitoring grants preferred
  • Research capabilities
  • Computer and IT knowledge
