SPILLMAN APPLICATION SPECIALIST - PHOENIX

 

Salary: $63,799.84 - $80,300.48 Annually

Job Summary:

Under direction, this classification serves as the Spillman Application Specialist for the Arizona Department of Public Safety.  This classification is designed as uncovered.  Incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Director of the Department of Public Safety.

Under general direction, is responsible for modification and/or maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and training of Spillman Flex and Flex Mobile (Flex) software, and works with other employees monitoring a help desk for system problems.  Performs related duties as assigned.

The Spillman Applications Specialist (SAS) works with the Spillman Applications Administrator (SAA) to provide maintenance, troubleshooting and training of the Spillman software.  Responsibilities include quality control, data entry, table maintenance and any other database related requirements.  Additionally, the SAS troubleshoots user problems and coordinates resolutions with the SAA.  As a support specialist, the SAS assists with training agency users on the use of the Spillman application and maintains a help desk for system problems.  The SAS provides support functions such as researching information, compiling data, preparing reports, monitoring and tracking of information in software systems, coordinating projects/programs, and making recommendations for improvements and resolving complaints and problems.

Minimum Qualification(s):

Must have three (3) years of increasingly difficult and responsible experience involving the use of personal computers and database software or any combination of increasingly difficult and responsible experience involving the use of personal computes and database software and related education from an accredited college or university to total three (3) years; and one (1) year of experience using the Spillman Application in an administrative role (lead or secondary)

Must pass a background investigation.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants must complete an examination process.  A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants.  All newly hired employees will be subject to the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification Program.
