This position is available for remote work on a full time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangement)

Job Summary:

The Sr. Business Analyst position will track, analyze and report on a variety of funding sources including federal grants. This will include projected revenues, expenditures and cash position of these funds. The positions will also be responsible for understanding and knowledge of the applicable legislation, history, program, as well as an overall understanding of the agency's funds. The position will also perform the initial budget load for these funds and periodic transfers between budget line items, as well as budget adjustments, if necessary. This position will provide budgetary expertise on these funds to the Division for planning and operations. The position will also coordinate the preparation of information necessary for various budget related questions from the Governor's Office, Legislature and Agency Management.

Job Duties:

Primary Responsibilities:
• Track, analyze and report on actual and projected fund revenues, expenditures and cash positions.
• Perform budget loads, transfers and adjustments for assigned funds.
• Continuously gather and update knowledge base on assigned funds and programs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Skills in:
• Moderate to Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a Public and/or Environmental setting
Ability to
• Proven experience being detail oriented and meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and critical - thinking ability; capability to organize and prioritize work load.

Selective Preference(s):

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, finance, accounting, business administration or a related field from an accredited college or university or 3-5 years experience in budget or finance
