This position will ensure stability of applications and report any issues. This position will identify and work independently on Support issues and assess/troubleshoot problems (Errors, delayed response, crashes) to determine whether the problem is hardware or software related. May be called upon to analyze (troubleshoot) problems and make recommendations and/or implement solutions. Additionally, this position identifies and proposes continuous improvement solutions to recurring issues, participates in technical design on large systems and uses knowledge of business functions/goals independently in design or administration of a system. Uses knowledge of the business area to analyze and specify business applications; and continuously reviews how business functions interact. This position will also participate in on-call rotation.
The Senior Lead Apps Developer will be responsible for ensuring stability of applications, reporting any issues, and identifying and working independently on IT/Support division issues. This role will assess/troubleshoot problems (errors, delayed responses, crashes, etc.) to determine whether problems are hardware or software related and may be called upon to analyze or troubleshoot problems and make recommendations and/or implement solutions.
Additionally, the Senior Lead Apps Developer will identify and propose continuous improvement solutions to recurring issues, participate in technical design on large systems, and use knowledge of business functions/goals independently in design or administration of a system. This person in this role will use their knowledge of the business area to analyze and specify business applications and will continuously review how business functions interact. Please note, this position will participate in on-call rotation.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Develops new applications to meet functional and technical designs
-Analyzes, debugs, and resolves defects in applications
-Supports productions systems; analyzes and resolves production problems in a timely manner; resolves end user service requests as assigned
-Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and contributes to completion of functional specifications
-Prepares technical documentation on application specifications
-Performance tunes, reviews, and recommends improvements to existing codes
-Reviews and recommends improvements to existing architectures
-Multiple programming languages, database
-Management systems, development platforms, and systems integration
-Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication
-Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
-Balance, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks
-Work collaboratively in teams across the organization
-Develop and write technical documentation
-Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience)
