Job Summary:

As an expert technical specialist, you will analyze and assist with creating reusable and enterprise-level modules/applications by translating systems and program specs into code. You will also support production systems, and resolve service requests as assigned. Your role involves full life-cycle software development, overall system problem resolution, and mentoring developers.

Job Duties:

-Analyze and develop reusable and enterprise level modules/applications by translating systems and program specifications into coded computer instructions
-Schedule and manage test and production releases; create a back-up copy, check-in code, build, merge, and publish (deploy) for IT development team; provide support during the technical release process
-Follow the specified agency software development life cycle and procedures
-Support production systems; analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner
-Mentor and train new staff and junior developers

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

-Thorough working knowledge of multiple programming languages, database management systems, and development platforms
-Senior level application development skills with MS Visual Studio, .Net Framework, Angular, C#, data contracts and data serialization, LINQ, TFS/TFS Build, MS SQL database access methods
-Ability to evaluate and test emerging technologies, and apply creative solutions to business problems
-Comfortable working independently and/or collectively, remaining open to others’ ideas, and adapting to change
-Ability to lead initiatives to develop solutions and processes to meet needs of the agency

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or 8+ years providing application development for a business's IT organization. Technical Certification with Microsoft development technologies and/or SQL Server database applications/design is a plus.
