This position is part of an Oracle support team currently supporting the Tax Accounting System (TAS) developed in Oracle Forms. This application is responsible for payment collections, payment distributions, and filing for all citizens and businesses within the State of Arizona. Qualified candidates should be proficient in SQL/PLSQL and Oracle Forms and have the proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot and provide documented solutions to resolve issues in a fast paced environment.

Job Duties:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Supporting production systems; analyzing and resolving production problems in a timely manner; resolving end user service requests as assigned
-Developing new applications to meet functional and technical designs, resolving code/data issues
-Creates deliverables according to the Software Development Life-cycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation
-Assists in training new hires and providing guidance to Junior Developers when required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
-Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Forms/Reports, and Database Objects
-Considerable working knowledge of multiple programming languages, database management systems and multiple development platforms
-Release and configuration management
-Technologies and underlying principles
-Fundamentals of objects oriented and service software design principles

Skilled in:
-Strong customer service
-Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication
-Analyzing highly complex client requests and designing and developing highly complex n-tier solutions object oriented, and or client/server solutions
-Performing complex problem analysis and identifying solutions

Ability to:
-Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
-Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
-Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
-Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
-Research and analyze information
-Develop and write technical documentation
-Apply creative solutions to business problems to ensure business needs are most effectively met
-Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with customers and staff at all levels
-Learn and apply LEAN concepts, principles and tools used to create and deliver perspectives with fewest resources with continuous problem solving

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent plus 8 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or combined education and experience)

-Proven experience using SQL/PLSQL in a work environment
-Experience in UNIX/Linux shell scripting is a plus but not required
-Experience with Continuous Improvement or LEAN is preferred
