SR SERVICE DESK ANALYST

Hiring Rate: $27-$29 per hour, depending upon applicable experience

Grade: 21

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for providing first-level technical support for the agency as part of a team of technicians who maintain personal computers, printers, and scanners for the Corporation Commission.

Job Duties:

You will complete work assignments on approved IT Work Orders, make necessary software updates and equipment upgrades, PC hardware adjustments, and maintain inventory records of equipment checked in/out. You will also install, configure, and troubleshoot office automation/application hardware and software for users and provide problem resolution for complex issues. You will provide advanced level assistance to network specialists with network-related tasks, investigate complex product configuration issues, test all fixes, respond to assigned trouble tickets using the Division’s tracking system, and perform routine tasks such as imaging PCs. You will also be responsible for answering incoming calls and responding to e-mails sent to the Support Center.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

-Knowledge of the operation of a desktop operating system such as Microsoft Windows 10, including installation and configuration in an Enterprise Environment.
-Considerable knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Office 365 applications
-Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks
-Workstation imaging experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
-Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external customers, with emphasis on public relations requiring tact and diplomacy.
-Skilled in leading initiatives to develop solutions and processes to meet needs; identifying unique innovative approaches.
-Problem solving and customer service skills.
-Ability to work with users, supervisors, user groups and industry representatives to answer questions and resolve problems.
-Ability to read, interpret and analyze user requests, business forms and technical documents.
-Ability to manage time, prioritize and organize work activities, maintain confidential working relationships, communicate effectively, work independently and make independent decisions.
