Perform day-to-day operational administration of complex multi-user cloud-based computing systems. Support and troubleshoot web applications. Make recommendations to integrate new custom and cloud software, coordinate installation and support operations. Implement and maintain encryption technology. Utilize software tools, basic scripting skills, and logs to monitor network and system health. Upgrade and maintain operating systems and application software. Create and update documentation, including standard operating procedures, administrative instructions, after action reports for system outages, task status updates, and customer reports.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform day-to-day operational administration of complex multi-user cloud-based computing systems. Proactively solves complex problems. Conducts daily traffic analysis, identifies and characterizes incidents, generates incident reports, and investigates suspicious network activity.
• Support and troubleshoot web applications. Upgrade and maintain operating systems and application software.
• Make recommendations to integrate new custom and cloud software, coordinate installation and support operations. Implement and maintain encryption technology.
• Utilize software tools, basic scripting skills, and logs to monitor network and system hardware and software.
• Automation of system processes.
• Create and update documentation, including standard operating procedures, administrative instructions, after action reports for system outages, task status updates, and customer reports.

Knowledge of:
• Considerable working knowledge of various infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.
• Cloud compute infrastructure.
• Microsoft and or Linux operating systems.

• Software upgrade process.
• Security best practices.

• Working with non-technical audiences, peers, and vendors to establish technical solutions to business problems.
• Documentation including diagrams, processes, run books, and standard work.
• Scripting and automation.
• Implementation of PKI/TLS/SSL/KMS solutions.
• Powershell, CLI, JSON, Python, Bash
Ability to:
• Monitor division goals and objectives effectively and adjust work-plans as needed.
• Collaborate with staff on technical problems and assist in developing means to correct problems.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats and provide on-going consultation and technical assistance in an efficient and effective manner.
• Make recommendations to integrate new custom and cloud software, coordinate installation and support operations.
• Interpret state and federal regulatory/management laws, rules and guidance.

Bachelor’s degree plus 3 or more years of experience in systems administration (or equivalent experience). Experience with AWS Services; EC2, VPC, ELB, AWS Security, S3, RDS, EBS, or equivalent within Azure / Google Cloud Platform.
