Job Summary:

• The Arizona Department of Education, Health and Nutrition Services (HNS) administers the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Programs (CNPs). Such programs include the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and After School Care Snack Program (ASCSP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), CACFP At-Risk Afterschool Meals, Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), and Seamless Summer Option (SSO). Additionally, Health and Nutrition Services administers USDA Foods in Schools and initiatives promoted by USDA such as Farm to CNPs, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, etc.
• Within the Fiscal Operations, Data Strategy, and Systems team, this position will support the advancement of software and applications used for child nutrition programs within the Health and Nutrition Services. This position is expected to work collaboratively with HNS teams to act as the subject matter expert to assist in testing for new or modified software programs, including creating documentation, diagram, and flowchart to verify that programs function according to HNS requirements. Position will process, document and coordinate resolution of internal and external service requests.
• In-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for maintaining advanced knowledge and tracking of technology systems maintained by HNS and ADE and available data sets applicable to HNS and HNS operators
• Assists in the composition of procedure manuals governing the care and use of operational platforms; updates and makes needed changes
• Assists migration of new and established systems, participate in test plans, data, procedures, test cases and manual and/or automated test scripts, participates in reviews of business requirements and application designs
• Communicates data system flows by creating flow charts and paragraph descriptions
• Responds to and troubleshoots errors experienced in system. Processes, documents, and coordinates resolution of requests for service and assistance

Selective Preference(s):

Preference will be given to those applicants with:
• Experience administering or directing a Child Nutrition Program (CNP)
• Experience is system design, quality assurance and/or APIs

• Position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.
