Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing on-the-job training covering all core processes for the Indirect Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). Schedule training and coaching sessions for employees as well as manage the training processes. Subject matter expertise to review records for pointers, driver history, and compliance, as well as research, verify, interpret update and thorough working knowledge to learn, train, interpret and resolve all records related to Title and Registration, Driver License services and processes within the Indirect Units. Resolve issues impacting driver license and title and registration services. This position may be required to travel for state business needs.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Provide on-the-job training and coaching one-on-one or in a group setting. Manage staff and standard work to ensure utilization of the most current training plan and materials. Assess effectiveness of the training plan, collaborate with leadership team, solicit feedback from trainees to identify and implement measures to improve the overall training experience.

Create, manage and maintain standard work for training processes. Work closely with MVD leaders on training needs and updates. Testing in MAX with relative system updates.

Research, verify, interpret, update and apply thorough working knowledge of Indirect Units to resolve issues.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
• American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Rules and Regulations.
• ARS Title 28 and MVD policies and procedures.
• Applicable MVD software, databases, screens and codes
• Accident Conviction Disposition Codes
• Problem Driver Pointer System (PDPS), National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), Commercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS), and State Pointer Exchange System (SPEX).
• Various training methods (virtual, in-person, etc.)
• Training principles, strategies and methods.
• Learning processes; trends in employee learning.
• Google Workspace.

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor's Degree in an acceptable field of study from an accredited college and one year of experience in training.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Valid driver's license.
Background check required.

As this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
