What You'll Do:

- Under the general direction of the Information Service Group Section Chief, you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of information technology tools utilized by the state for emergency preparedness activities including but not limited to: EMResource, Arizona Health Alert System (Az HAN), WebEOC, and ICAM.

- You will lead and be responsible for preparing and delivering training resources related to the operational components of these systems which are used to gather and share situational awareness on a daily basis across Arizona's healthcare system. Users consist of state, county, tribal, coalition, and other healthcare system partners.

- You will also track the progress of the completed technical assistance requests and incorporate information gathered on support activities to enhance training opportunities for the program. This position requires some technical hardware knowledge.

- As the Technical Trainer, you will help develop and/or enhance program evaluation procedures based on grant requirements and requests from stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting statewide coalition communication drills and tracking the results for all grant performance measures.

- Additionally, you'll be required to represent ADHS and speak regarding information system tools, training, plans, and exercise capabilities at regularly scheduled meetings. As the Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for technology support during conferences, training and exercise events, completion of work plan activities, and contributing to the writing for funding applications and mid-year and year-end reporting.

- Lastly, you will participate in public health emergency response drills, exercises, and real-world events by having a leadership position within the Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) for ADHS which includes logistical support at ADHS and the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) - Technical Operation Center.

Job Duties:

- Lead with the implementation, expansion, and training on web-based communication systems that are maintained by the Bureau of Public Health Emergency Preparedness. Oversee and support activities with statewide coalition partners as they develop and complete their own communication drills; tracking the results for the grant performance measures.
- Lead Information Services Group (ISG) team in creating training materials, and provide these training opportunities as needed. Document process and procedures accordingly.
- Assist all external and internal stakeholders on user management and other training needs. Keep current with all application training, and support these technologies through daily utilization. Attend conferences and monthly vendor conference calls. Oversee the implementation of information technology tools such as EMResource, Az HAN, WebEOC, and ICAM.
- Setting up accounts for new users and support and troubleshooting for each platform. Lead coordination and development of electronic resources and online content, and training partners on the proper and effective use of applications and technologies.
- Completion of work plan activities, and contributing to the writing for the funding applications, and contributing to mid-year and year-end reporting. Monitor work towards completing performance measure requirements.

Selective Preference(s):

A Bachelor's Degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Project Management, Health Policy, or related field with 1 year of professional Information Technology management and experience in the training field.

Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11).

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will make a contribution to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution. In other words, you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit.
