The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of skilled technical work in survey, inspection of highway construction projects, field testing quality control tests on materials, verifying quantities, documentation of daily construction activities, contracts, employee interviews, and construction checklist. Complete administrative documentation and complex engineer reports, and train other ADOT personnel on assigned construction project. Will normally be assigned to more than one area of construction and can be subject to irregular work hours. Overtime may be required including working nights, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel and assisting other units and districts may be necessary. Position will be required to drive a state vehicle.

High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two (2) years experience in inspecting minor highway construction projects, hot mix, and concrete plants or performing administrative or advanced engineering and construction records maintenance or related duties, or ninety (90) semester hours toward a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology or a closely related profession. ATTI and ACI Certifications are preferred.
Valid AZ Driver's License
