Job Summary:

The Governors Office on Tribal Relations is seeking an Executive Assistant.

We are looking for a master multitasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude.

This position is responsible for providing direct professional and executive high level support and technical assistance to the Director.

Job Duties:

• Provide direct executive/professional and administrative high level technical assistance to the Director

• Research a wide variety of issues, compile data, report findings and respond to various research requests

• Research and track information for reports and projects ensuring accurate and on time completion

• Answer main phone line and respond to inquiries with input from the Director

• Schedule meetings and appointments and take and transcribe meeting minutes

• Manage office functions, procurement and invoice management

• Compose and/or edit correspondence and reports

• Perform other duties assigned to the position

• Manage, collect, and compile metrics

• Drive on State business

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

• Typing and computer software applications i.e. Microsoft Office and Google Suite

• Principles and practices of office management, administration and organization

• Concepts and techniques and their practical application to government

• Research methodologies and strategies to maintain confidentiality

• Department structure and functions, policies and procedures

• State and Federal rules and regulations

Skill in:

• Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships

• Office and project management with attention to detail

• Research, collaboration and report writing

• Conduct research and compile data to compose concise and professional correspondence and reports

• Work in a fast paced environment managing several projects simultaneously to meet deadlines

• Make timely and sound decisions

Selective Preference(s):

• Minimum four (4) years of administrative experience

• Prior experience managing budgets

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation

• Required to drive on State business; must possess a valid Arizona driver's license
