WATCH CENTER SPECIALIST - PHOENIX

Salary: $53,888.02 - $72,504.22 Annually

Job Summary:

This recruitment will be used to establish an 18-month eligibility list to fill current and future vacancies.

Under minimal supervision, performs work in a structured environment to monitor and coordinate day-to-day Department and fusion center operations.  Works with state troopers, Operational Communications, other Department work units, the public, and other local, county, state, tribal, and federal entities to obtain situational awareness related to incidents and events and perform information sharing an alerting functions.  Provides timely email notifications about events meeting certain criteria around the State.  Makes phone notifications to command staff and executive staff and calls out specialty work groups.  Performs other duties as assigned.  This is a competitive classification.

Must successfully complete the examination process.

Minimum Qualification(s):

Requires at least three (3) years of law enforcement experience as an Arizona POST certified peace officer.

Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver license.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office setting.

Ability to work irregular hours and/or respond to emergency staffing or callouts on a 24-hour basis.

Must successfully complete the examination process.

Progression to the next step requires an overall performance rating of at least "Standard" in the last 12 months.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants must complete an examination process.  A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants.  All newly hired employees will be subject to the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification Program.
