This position is responsible for processing, researching, expediting, and approving/rejecting groundwater right conveyance applications and ensuring groundwater right conveyances adhere to Department policies, rules, procedures, and State statutes and rules.
The person in the role will be responsible for resolving water resources management issues that may be complex, sensitive, and visible in nature; participating in interdepartmental projects; and serving as the Department’s technical expert on grandfathered groundwater rights, irrigation authorities, and conveyances.

4 years professional experience in data management or records retention, or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years professional experience in data management or records retention, or a Master’s degree.

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement system (ASRS). Please note, enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment. The current contribution rate is 12.17%.
